Mr. Phil Adams: The Project Director

Mr. Phil AdamsPhil is a British national and lived near Gamru Village in 2003-2004. He quickly noticed that there were many children in the village who were not attending school and decided to establish a school that would remove the barriers that were preventing these children from having an education. Working closely with the local community, Phil volunteered his time and effort to establish Community Growth and Gamru Village School. He is not a teacher, but has worked for 11 years with a large English children's charity called Forest School Camps, as well as in many different fields of other work. He has been scrupulous in terms of the budget- working hard to procure high quality at the lowest prices and keeping overheads to a minimum to ensure the maximum utilization of all donated funds. Although he is currently involved in important aid-work in Afghanistan he keeps in contact with the school and receives regular reports from the School Principal concerning  all aspects of the day-to-day management of the projects. He also continues to liaise with donors.
